Statement on the Speaker Race

We have talked with many of our colleagues about the interesting developments in the Speaker’s race. We look forward to continuing conversations with candidates about their vision for the Texas House. The Texas Freedom Caucus has not taken any public position on a Speaker candidate, and for the foreseeable future we will remain in a listening mode. We look forward to the Republican Caucus meeting on December 1st when the entire Republican Caucus meets to fulfill our commitment to choose a Republican nominee for Speaker.
